Solar Panel Installation (PV/Photovoltaic Panels)

Solar Panel Installation (PV/Photovoltaic Panels)Bright Green Renewables are MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) accredited installers of solar panels (also known as Solar PV or Photovoltaic panels) across the Midlands including Daventry, Rugby, Coventry, Northampton, Towcester, Leamington Spa, Towcester, Warwick and Leicester.

Solar Photovoltaic Panels By installing solar panels you will benefit from:

  • Up to 100% of your daylight electricity consumption provided by the PV panels
  • Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) Payments; you will be paid by your electricity supplier for any unused solar electricity that is exported back to the Grid.

Sounds too good to be true? It isn't... Installing solar panels is perhaps the best safe investment a homeowner in the UK can make at present.

Can they be installed on my house?

Solar panels can be installed on most roofs without planning permission. The best returns are achieved from roofs facing between South East and South West.

A typical 12-panel, south-facing, 4kW solar PV installation on a 3-4 bedroom house will cost around £5,000 fully installed. This will generate around 3,600kWh of electricity per year. At an electricity price of 18p/kWh this will save around £650 per year (assuming that all of the generated electricity is used on site).

Bright Green Renewables will survey the installation site and propose the optimum size, number and orientation of the panels to achieve the optimum performance at the most cost-effective price. Annual generation projections will also be provided.

Battery storage systems can also be installed to store surplus energy for use when the system isn't generating electricity, e.g. during the night.

Battery Storage

Air Conditioning Installer Consumers are enjoying the financial and environmental benefits of Solar PV and numbers are growing all the time. However, do you know the next best steps to utilise even more FREE energy?

Solar PV Panels

Domestic and commercial Solar PhotoVoltaic (PV) systems have been around for a while now and work extremely well, even in our temperate UK climate.

Using ALL of the generated power has always been a desire but, up until recently, this was very difficult to achieve.

One of the most frequently asked questions is “can I store the surplus Solar energy and use it at night?” Up until the last couple of years the answer was invariably “No, sorry, too expensive!”. However, Battery Storage technology has significantly moved-on and prices have come down. Therefore it IS now possible to install a Battery Storage System to most solar PV installations and hence benefit from full use of the free, zero-carbon electricity you produce every day.

When connected to an existing PV array, surplus energy will be sent to the batteries during the day when the PV system is generating. This energy is then released when it is needed, usually during the evening and night-time. The batteries can also be programmed to fully charge at night using an off-peak tariff. This further reduces electricity bills as homeowners can start the day with fully charged batteries which have been charged at off-peak rates.

Daikin Altherma Air Source Heat Pump - exploded view There are now a wide range of Self-Consumption Battery Storage Systems from most well-known PV manufacturers - and they are the ideal way to benefit from every last Watt of Solar PV energy you produce. Therefore almost nothing is exported back into the Grid.

You will benefit from using your free stored energy during the night and hence reduce your electricity bill even further.
